Taking on Marlon Tapales is Murodjon Akhmadaliev

In the co-main event, Murodjon Akhmadaliev faces Marlon Tapales while defending his IBF and WBA super bantamweight championships. Akhmadaliev won silver at the world championships and bronze at the Olympics in 2016. His record is 11-0 with eight knockouts.

Akhmadaliev, who turned pro in 2018, won a regional championship in his division before defeating Daniel Roman in 2020 to win the IBF and WBA super bantamweight championships. The 28-year-old has successfully defended the title three times, most recently in June 2022, when he defeated Ronny Rios through a technical knockout (TKO 12).

A professional since 2008, Tapales has a record of 36-3. After suffering his first defeat in fight number nine, the “Nightmare” went on a 13-fight winning streak. After losing to David Sanchez in 2013, the now 31-year-old fighter won 12 consecutive bouts and became the WBO bantamweight champion. He has won his last three fights by knockout after losing to Ryosuke Iwasa in 2019. Tapales last competed in May of 2022, when he won a match against Jose Estrella.

Jessie Magdaleno vs. Raymond Ford

Raymond Ford and Jessie Magdaleno square off in a featherweight bout. A Golden Gloves champion in 2018 and professional boxer in 2019, Ford has a professional record of 13-0-1, 7 KOsssional boxers in 2019, Ford has a professional record of 13-0-1, 7 KOs. In June 2022, “Savage” triumphed over Richard Medina to win the North American title. In his most recent fight, in November, he knocked out Sakuria Lukas.

A bout for the world championship may be on the line if Magdaleno were to defeat a former champion of that weight class.

Magdaleno, at 31 years old (29-1, 18 KOs), made his professional debut in 2010. He won the WBO super bantamweight belt from Nonito Donaire in 2016, and he made one successful defence of his championship. After being knocked out by Isaac Dogboe in 2018, he has won four straight bouts. Magdaleno won his most recent match against Edy Valencia Mercado in May.

Ramiro Cesena vs. Thomas Mattice

The super featherweight bout between Thomas Mattice and Ramiro Cesena will get things going. Since turning pro in 2014, Mattice has amassed a record of 20-3-1 (15 knockouts). He’s now undefeated in three fights, the most recent being a unanimous decision victory over Christian Tapia. The result was a deal with the boxing promotion Matchroom.

In his second professional bout, Cesena (16-0-1) fought to a draw. He made his professional debut in 2018. Since then, “Demon” has won 15 consecutive bouts, 13 of which were stopped in the first round. In August, Cesena fought and won by fifth-round technical knockout against Sergio Puente.
