From March 18–26, 2023, Sandviken, Sweden, will host the World Women Curling Championship.
Switzerland, winners of the last three tournaments in a row, will try to retain their title at the Göransson Arena against the other eleven teams.
In the first phase of the competition, each squad will face every other team once.
The best six teams after the regular season will move on to the postseason. Both the first and second-place teams will advance directly to the semi-finals without having to play any qualifying games.
The third-place team will play the sixth-place team in the qualifying rounds, and the fourth- and fifth-place teams will play each other. Those who triumph in these two contests will move on to the semi-finals.
The two finalists will face off in the championship match for the right to play for the global championship, while the losers of the semis will play for the bronze medal.
