Valspar Championship 2023 Picks:

In his last five PGA Tour starts, he has two top-11 finishes. Burns is one of the best putters on tour, ranking seventh in one-putt percentage (45.21%) and eleventh in strokes gained: putting heading into the Valspar Championship in 2023. (.713).
Meanwhile, 13-time PGA Tour winner Jordan Spieth can add the 2023 Valspar Championship to his resume. Spieth has finished in the top 10 in two of his last four tournaments. He won this tournament in 2015. As of right now, the oddsmakers think Justin Thomas has the best shot at winning the 2023 Valspar Championship. Thomas is favored at 10-1, followed by Jordan Spieth at 12-1 and Bubba Burns at 15-1. View SportsLine’s proven computer model’s golf predictions and projected leaderboard for the 2023 Valspar Championship before committing to any picks.
SportsLine’s in-house model, developed by daily fantasy sports expert Mike McClure, has been on fire ever since the PGA Tour returned to action in June of 2020. In fact, since restarting, the model has won every single tournament it has predicted.
According to McClure’s model, Jon Rahm will win the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the American Express, and the Genesis Invitational in 2023. J.T. Poston was also considered a top contender to take home the John Deere Classic trophy in 2022 by the model. That wager paid off at +5500, and McClure’s top wagers in the tournament as a whole returned nearly $1,100. Going into the final round of the 2022 Masters, McClure’s model was all over Scottie Scheffler’s first major championship win.
While Collin Morikawa was a massive 40-1 long shot to win the 2021 Open Championship, he was included among McClure’s best bets. Rahm’s (unbeaten) first major championship victory in 2021 at the U.S. Open was also heavily featured in the model’s portfolio. Even though Rahm was two shots back going into the weekend, he was still predicted to win by the model.
To start the weekend, this same model has correctly predicted eight majors. If you’ve been following it, you’ve probably made a ton of money.

Top 2023 Valspar Championship predictions

The model predicts a major upset for the Valspar Championship in 2023. Two-time defending champion and heavy favourite Burns finishes outside the top 10 this week. Burns had a strong beginning to the year 2023, as he placed in the top eleven in each of his first three starts.
Burns has had a tough few weeks, missing the cut in two of his last three starts and placing T-35 at the Players Championship. Burns’s recent struggles are a direct result of his iron play. The 26-year-old is ranked 164th in strokes gained: an approach to the green and 186th in greens in regulation percentage heading into this week’s competition. (-.658). When it comes to approaches from inside 100 yards, he is ranked 194th on the PGA Tour. There are much better values among the Valspar Championship 2023 field than him.
Wyndham Clark, a 40-1 longshot, makes a serious run at the championship, which is yet another unexpected development. Clark’s odds of winning the whole thing are much higher than they actually are, making him a prime betting target for those seeking a windfall.
Clark is a long-ball hitter, ranking fifth on the PGA Tour with an average of 314.3 yards per drive. Because he can hit the ball so far down the fairway, Clark can use his short irons for approach shots. The 29-year-old’s deadly duo has helped him hit 67.82% of greens in regulation so far this season, which will come in handy on the Copperhead Course this week. A lot will depend on how well he puts this week, but he should be in good shape to win the 2023 Valspar Championship if he can keep it close this week. Look at these other suggestions and see who you like.
