Mike Tyson’s Return.

Mike Tyson, the award-winning and recognized boxer retired from professional boxing in 2006, close to 15 years after he was knocked out in consecutive back to back matches against Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

The iron Tyson wants to return into the game even after declaring bankruptcy in 2003. The 53-year-old former heavyweight champion will return to the ring. He had been posting videos showing his speed and power and has seemed to get back into shape.

Other boxers, including Tyson Fury, have been asked if they wanted to take on Mike in the comeback fight, and he seems to be down for it. The 31-year-old two-time heavyweight world champion claims to have agreed to an exhibition fight with Mike Tyson. “I did get a phone call with a chance to fight Mike Tyson, and I was like ‘what’?! Yeah, I had a phone call saying, would you like to fight Mike in an exhibition fight? I was like ‘hell, yeah.’ Fury told BT sports. “I think he’s serious about doing some fights or whatever.”

Can Mike take on Fury now?

Mike himself believes there are a lot of options to choose from for his showdown. “Listen, we’ve got so many guys that want to do this man, we’re in calls, we’re doing business with guys right now,” Mike said, “you’re not going to believe the names when the names come out. Sometime this week, we’ll have the contract done. Whatever money we get, it’s going to somebody else, I’m not going to make any money, probably the company, my wife because she’s partners with me, shell make some but the money is going,” mike emphasized.

Since Tyson does not seem to be doing this for the money per se, why else is he doing it? For fame, he has the fame, and he is a heavyweight champion who will be recognized by a child that was born today.  He has been in films during his retirement to keep up appearances. So why the comeback at 53?

In an interview with Lil Wayne on a young money radio show, he laid down his interests and reasons why he wants to do this, “Man, I’m just getting ready, you know, I’m just getting ready to help some people out who are less fortunate than me. I’m going to do this charity event.

“I’m going to take this money and help these homeless, and we’re going to help these addicted brothers.

“Because I’ve been homeless and I’ve been addicted, so I know the struggle. Not many people have survived as I did.”

Tyson being able to relate to these homeless and addicted people isn’t a bad thing. His passion for helping them is even better, and he’s going to grow his fanbase and make his name known again as if he never left.

Tyson Fury is not the only boxer who is willing to take upon him

Mixed martial arts veteran Ortiz is one of them, he spoke about the comeback. “I was watching Mike Tyson hit pads with one of my old trainers, and Tyson was like the old Tyson, fast and speed and powerful, and I was like, ‘Wow, Tyson’s going to make a comeback?’ And all of a sudden, two days later, I get a phone call, and someone starts asking me, ‘What do you think about fighting Mike Tyson?’ I was like, ‘Really? This is the opportunity of my life, I’m in,’ Ortiz had told TMZ sports.

One of the veterans, Anthony Johnson, had given his fair opinion about the come back a few days ago. He seems happy about it and believes Tyson took a little break just like any fighter would have. He went on to say he believed in Tyson, who grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods but used it to his advantage to become one of the best boxers he has seen. He named Mohammed Ali and Mike Tyson, two of the best he has seen since he started boxing.

We can’t agree with Anthony less. Mike is good, and this comeback will be something that people will love and anticipate. He already has the support of his colleagues, and that’s everything. We wish him all the best and will be glad to see more of him.
